4th Annual Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce Industry Show

BEAUMONT, Texas – The industries of the Golden Triangle stepped forward and established new relationships on Wednesday at the Port Arthur Chamber of Commerce’s fourth annual industry networking event.

The deals made, jobs offered and key connections made were signs of progress at Port Arthur.

House Speaker Pat Avery and her team turned the Bob Bowers Civic Center into a networking event. They created a space for entrepreneurs to meet industry leaders.

“It gives new companies the opportunity to showcase what they have and what they can offer the industry. It gives entrepreneurs themselves the opportunity to work together, ”said Avery.

The room was filled with 106 different companies.

“Oh, my God, we have a general construction. We have specific types of construction, specialized companies. We have medical facilities. We have transportation companies, ”Avery said.

One of those companies was echo.
Jim Patrick, the company’s sales manager, said he was thrilled to be a part of it.

“This type of event here in our own backyard is really a great opportunity,” said Patrick. “The attendance has been exceptional here this year. “

Avery said 500 people have registered for the networking event. Some people even made it all the way from Houston.

“I had heard that it was very specific to what we do. And there were a lot of customers here, ”said Ron Pribby, PCI Sales Director.

The company focuses on scaffolding. He said that no matter how many people he connected with, it wasn’t an opportunity he was willing to pass up.

“We find that we usually have out of 20 people that we meet, we’ll probably only get one job, but it’s worth it,” Pribby said.
