Armenia participates in the largest food fair in Europe – Radio publique d’Arménie

From October 9 to 13, Armenia participates in the largest international food and beverage exhibition in Europe – Anuga 2021. It takes place on site in Cologne, Germany. Eight Armenian companies producing herbs and herbal teas, dried fruits and preserves present their products at the fair in a common stand. Armenia’s participation was made possible through the Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade – an EU4Business initiative. The project is implemented by the International Trade Center (ITC) and supported by the European Union.

Anuga 2021 is the first and largest international networking and sales platform to host Armenian businesses since the pandemic hit the world. Participation in this trade fair promotes Armenian products in international markets and contributes to their export.

Anuga 2021 enables Armenian food processing companies to explore international best practices and trends – from production to packaging, as well as gain new partners to promote export.

“With no real networking opportunity with partners and buyers for a year and a half due to the pandemic, establishing a presence at major trade shows is becoming increasingly important for local businesses,” says Karen Gevorgyan, Country Project Manager for the Eastern Partnership: Ready to Trade – an EU4Business initiative. “Participation in Anuga 2021 makes Armenian products more competitive in international markets and unveils new export opportunities.”

Anuga 2021 is the largest trade fair in Europe in terms of number of exhibitors and exhibition spaces after the restart of the trade fair industry. This year, it enjoys a strong participation of more than 4000 exhibitors from 94 countries.
