BAN will organize the NIIE 2022 show in Dimapur

Dimapur, October 31 (EMN): With the aim of promoting local products and connecting products to the market, the “2022 National Innovation, Integration and Expansion Expo (NIIE)” will be held from November 3 to 5.e at the Agri Expo Center, Dimapur.

The Governor of Nagaland, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi, consented to hold the inaugural ceremony on November 3 at 2 p.m.

The fair is organized by the Nagas Business Association (BAN), supported by the Ministry of MSMEs, Government of India, in collaboration with the Government of Nagaland.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, BAN officials said at the event that more than 130 exhibitors will display their products.

They also stated that their main goal is also to promote female entrepreneurs. Thus, approximately 30% of exhibitors and participants will be women entrepreneurs.

They also informed that they had several components in the event including a business summit, food stalls and entertainment.

Further, they shared that together with the MSMEs, they visited various districts and noticed that there are very hardworking entrepreneurs in Nagaland who are invisible and unrecognized.

Therefore, the fair will also showcase the products of what young entrepreneurs have done.

The show will also welcome attendees from banking and financial services, food stalls and automotive companies who will showcase their cars and products.

During the animation session, an open stage will be provided for up-and-coming artists who wish to exhibit their talent. Organizers invited musicians, artists, dancers, fashion show designers and models to enjoy the stage.

There will also be street performances called “street performances with a cause” where some of the best artists have confirmed their participation and offered to donate 50% of their winnings to underprivileged musicians. MSME co-director Tali Longchar said the show was part of the government’s marketing support programs and there were 358 items and products reserved for micro and small businesses.

Sixteen participants from other northeastern states including Assam Sikkim and Meghalaya are also taking part in the fair, he updated.
