Known as Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, the fair has grown into Poland’s largest trade fair and one of the largest in the world with more than 13,000 exhibitors from 70 countries.

Known as Międzynarodowe Targi Poznańskie, the Poznań International Fair celebrates its 100e anniversary this year starting on 28e May 1921.

Originally he was known in Targ Poznański (Poznań Market) and local merchants displayed their wares.

It has now become the largest trade fair in Poland and one of the largest in the world with more than 13,000 exhibitors from 70 countries.

In 1924, it was no longer just Polish merchants who presented their goods at the fair. Companies from Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia, as they were called at the time, were joined by traders from France, Germany, Switzerland, Sweden, Romania and Latvia.MTP

Devastated by WWII, the facilities were rebuilt and the salon came back stronger. The facility is now one of the most iconic sites in Poznań and is used year round for a variety of events.BOILED

In 1948, the Dutch electronics company Phillips showed its cinema projectors to the participants.BOILED

At the event in 1960, the German steel company Friedrich Krupp AG presented Jacques Piccard’s bathyscaphe and it was possible to meet the famous researcher.
