Intra-African trade fair sees offers to help boost Ghana and South Africa’s trade

Ghanaian officials told the fair on Thursday that the deal could be used to boost certain industries, including infrastructure.

JOHANNESBURG – The Intra-African Trade Fair in Accra, Ghana saw a number of offers consistent with the Intercontinental Free Trade Agreement to boost trade with countries including South Africa.

Ghanaian officials told the fair on Thursday that the deal could be used to boost certain industries, including infrastructure.

President Cyril Ramaphosa recently stressed that infrastructure is one of the main pillars of future job creation in the country.

William Obeng, Managing Director of Business Banking at Ghana Export Import Bank, said, “By getting our share of the export trade across the world and doing so, we are mainly helping around 120 companies to build infrastructure.

The show moves to Durban in November.
