Germany – The metal industry is in constant transformation and faces enormous challenges. With the new âInnovate manufacturingâ claim, EMO Hannover 2023 wants to meet these challenges, make them transparent and offer solutions.
The organizer of EMO Hanover, the German Association of Machine Tool Builders (VDW) has invited representatives of the international media and exhibitors from EMO Hanover to a digital presentation of the new exhibition concept on September 14, 2021. Experts from business and politics have debated the future of production technology. According to VDW Executive Director Dr Wilfried Schäfer, the association has worked hard in recent months, partly in cooperation with international exhibitors, to present the new claim clearly and give it content.
âBut ‘Innovate Manufacturing’ is not just about technologies. In fact, EMO Hannover will also address topics relevant to production technology and its customer industries around the world in the future, âsaid Carl Martin Welcker, Commissioner General of EMO Hannover 2023 in his keynote on “The challenges of production 2023”. The future outlook for EMO Hannover 2023 – “The future of connectivity”, “The future of sustainability in production” and “The future of the company with a focus on work 4.0” – make already the subject of intensive discussion in the business world and in society in general.
Watch the digital presentation:
âDialogue and meeting are two of the most crucial elements for the new EMO Hannover. Already evident in the address mode, this is evident in many points of the new EMO presence, and is also reflected in a clearly structured communication concept, âsaid Schäfer, Executive Director of VDW, picking up the thread. Communication the concept is based on the four pillars EMO Communication, EMO Connect, EMO Digital and EMO Conference. These include new formats such as the ‘speakers’ corner’, master classes or EMO Academy, as well as familiar offerings such as matchmaking or highlights tours, including digitally. The future prospects of EMO Hanover can be found there once again, as well as many other topics drawn from the activities of the exhibitors as well as from research and development.
In addition to this, however, the aspiration of the new EMO Hannover is to establish itself as the key meeting point for the industry, obviously during the exhibition itself, but also between events, with a digital program d support, 365 days a year. âThe aim is to develop and shape these formats with our partners at the time of the exhibition,â Schäfer announced. There will be a large number of events around the world in the run-up to EMO Hanover 2023, such as the EMO World Tour in the first months of 2023, taking up the mentioned topics, describing the particular challenges they present in the respective regions of the world and presenting the solutions that production technology can offer them.
Then, to sum up, he adds: âSince 1975, EMO has been the world’s leading trade fair for metalworking. It is now more than that. It encompasses the entire value chain, mainly integrating the IT that is so essential to continue to advance smart factory networking. These digital twins will always be a feature of EMO Hanover in the future. And it’s more than a sales platform. We engage with our customers, exhibitors and target groups of visitors, bringing them together in networks, publicizing knowledge and providing solid information to investors.
