Over 50 Indian IT Companies Showcase Products at Dubai Show

Over 50 Indian electronics and software companies showcase their products and services at Gitex Global, the annual trade show, exhibition and conference.

Gitex Global, dubbed the world’s largest tech fair, is being held October 17-21 at the Dubai World Trade Center.

The Electronic and Computer Software Export Promotion Council (ESC) has facilitated regular Indian participation in Gites to take advantage of the booming IT market in the Gulf, said Kamal Vachani, Regional Director, Middle East at ESC.

Gitex continues to emerge as the largest and most impressive information and communications technology (ICT) event of its kind in the Middle East.

India has a great interest in the booming markets of the Middle East, Africa, Asia (WANA region) and Europe of which Dubai is the gateway.

Thus, the event provides participating Indian ICT companies with opportunities to experience the expanding Middle Eastern market, said Gurmeet Singh, Executive Director of ESC.

ESC has been a regular participant in the lodges for several years, and participating Indian companies under its banner have reported bagging major companies, forging joint ventures, business relationships, and more with buyers visiting the exhibition.

The Middle East was the top export destination for electronics in 2019-2020 with an estimated value of $ 3 billion.

Among countries in the region, the UAE is the top destination for India’s electronics exports, said Sandeep Narula, ESC president.

India’s total electronics hardware exports in the period 2020-2021 are estimated at USD 11 billion and those of software and IT services are estimated at USD 146 billion.
