Still Game stars to headline Glasgow city center food and drink show

The Still Game stars are ready to swap Craiglang for carnival this month with a day of foodie fun in Glasgow city centre.

Scottish comedy favorites Ford Kiernan and Greg Hemphill will be just one team of many exhibitors gathered to share their wares at the Discovery 2022 show at Platform on Tuesday 25th October.

The duo will meet and greet fans while signing bottles of their very own Jack and Victor whiskey and gin, named after their unforgettable TV characters, alongside Panther Milk and Harris Gin.

Recognized as one of the “largest food and drink events in Scotland”, the funfair-themed industry event is organized by local wholesalers and distributors Dunns Food and Drink.

It’s the first time the show will take place in person since 2019 with a variety of traders invited to showcase Scotland’s finest produce, from cocktails to comfort food.

Julie Dunn, Operations Manager at Dunns Food and Drinks, said: “This is a really big event for us and we’re really excited, given that it’s the first time we’ve been able to get everyone together for a show since the pandemic.

“The theme for 2022 is ‘Discovery’ and we challenged suppliers to really think about what they bring to the industry in terms of new product development.

“As you’d expect, we’ve had a brilliant response, especially from local producers, many of whom got started during lockdown, and we’ve been keen to support them.”

The event is free and participants are encouraged to register here.
